TUESDAYS only

Cost: $30 for 9 weeks (scholarship available upon request)

What to expect: Deaf artists within the San Antonio community teaching young deaf children and teens different trades through fun, interactive/hands on activities and instruction. Our Aid The Silent staff and community deaf mentors are all about seeing young deaf and hard of hearing be equipped with the tools and skills to be the best they can be! We want fun to be FUNdamental. It’s our hope for deaf children and teens to dream big and never give up!

Our fall semester will showcase two deaf artists who love photography and painting.

Come learn how to get creative with your pictures and videos, taught by our wonderful friend Lupe Flores.

He’s been capturing the intricate details of nature and the moment to moment celebrations of weddings for 20+ years. He’s got passion and talent and can’t wait to share that with your kids!

What you’ll need : a device of some kind that can take photos (ipad, phone, camera, computer)

Come get back to basics of drawing and painting with our sweet  friend Jacob Garcia.

In his spare time you’ll find him painting with oils, sketching in his notebook or using his ipad to create graphic designs. His love for art shows in his work and we can’t wait for your kids to be inspired!

What you’ll need : clothes you don’t mind getting paint on
